TOWN OF ALMA BOARD MEETING MINUTES
September 17, 2025
All Board members present:
Meeting called to order by Chairman Flick at 7:00 PM.
Minutes from August 20, 2025 were read into the record. Motion by Mat Murray, second by Tom Gearing to approve the minutes as read. Motion carried.
Treasurer’s report: Current balance $206,227.04 less $86,000.00 reserved for equipment, 9,225 building reserve for a cash on hand balance of $110,002.04. Motion by Gearing, second by Murray to approve report. Motion carried.
Motion by Murray, second by Gearing to authorize payments for the month. Motion carried.
Citizen comments: New Business:
- Road report- Fahrner to complete road work on 9/18 or 19th-subject to potential weather delays. Scott will do double chip seal on Avon Rd next year unless they can complete before October timeline. Fahrner provided a quote for Dunlap Rd LRIP project. Sand Rd box culvert-recommended a 5’ culvert along with endwalls/rip-rap and other work. Svet would like a public hearing scheduled for January/February for ARIP project on Jeffrey Rd.
- Timber Harvest-Harvest nearing completion with funds being sent for timber soon.
- Discussion on modifying ATV/UTV ordinance to reflect County’s position on State Highway access to the Village of Merrillan, Clerk will draft resolution for action at October meeting.
- Driveway permit approved for Karla Demaskie.
- Motion by Gearing, second by Murray to adjourn. Adjourned at 7:33 PM.
