TOWN OF ALMA BOARD MEETING MINUTES

June 18, 2025

Board members present: Brian Flick, Matt Murray, Kathy Patterson, Dpn Forsting
Member absent: Tom Gearing
Meeting called to order by Chairman Flick at 7:00 PM.
Minutes from May 21, 2025 were read into the record. Motion by Mat Murray, second by Brian Flick to approve the
minutes as read. Motion carried.
Treasurer’s report: Current balance $268,606.43 less $86,000.00 reserved for equipment, 12,200 building reserve for a
cash on hand balance of $170,406.93. Motion by Murray, second by Flick to approve report. Motion carried.
Motion by Murray, second by Flick to authorize payments for the month. Motion carried.
Citizen comments:
New Business:

  1. Road report- Dan reported on activity for the month. Overhead shop doors repaired by Gaier Construction. Mowed
    roads prior to chip sealing. Beaver dam removed on Hart Rd. Patched cracks and blade patched on Prindle Rd.
    Fahrner completed chip seal on Carol Rd.
  2. Road bids open and shared with the board with the following summary:
    a. E Snow Creek Rd- Scott $20,998, Fahrner $19,922.
    b. Prindle Rd- Scott $21,729, Fahrner $$20,623.
    Motion by Murray, second by Flick to approve Fahrner’s bid on a. and b. Motion carried.
    c. Motion by Murray, second by Flick to approve Scott Construction bid for repairing culvert bumps. Motion
    carried.
  3. Beer & Liquor licenses: A. Class B Beer & Liquor- Castle Hill Supper Club, Inc.-motion by Murray, second by Flick
    to approve. Motion carried. B. Jimmy’s Inn Between-motion by Murray, second by Flick to approve. Motion
    carried. C. Reserve Class B Beer & Liquor- Pinewood Properties, LLC dba Doc’s Bunkhouse-motion by Murray,
    second by Flick to approve. Motion carried. D. Class B Beer- NCN Campground North- motion by Murray, second
    by Flick to approve. Motion carried.
  4. Equipment update-2010 International-metal shavings in transmission-sent for repairs. Backhoe repairs on hold.
  5. Jackson County ATV club request to open Town roads for ATV traffic- Would prefer to align with County with 5
    AM to 10 Pm hours of operation. Sheri Ripp shared concerns over impacts to Town residents. Will include on
    July agenda for further discussion when all board members are present.
