TOWN OF ALMA BOARD MEETING MINUTES
February 18, 2026
All Board members present:
Meeting called to order by Chairman Flick at 7:00 PM.
Minutes from January 21, 2026 were read into the record. Motion by Matt Murray, second by Tom Gearing to approve the minutes as read. Motion carried.
Treasurer’s report: Current balance $1,145,738.10 less $28600 reserved for equipment, 5,450 building reserve for a cash on hand balance of $1,111,688.10. Motion by Gearing, second by Murray to approve report. Motion carried.
Motion by Murray, second by Gearing to authorize payments for the month. Motion carried.
Citizen comments: Bill Laurent County updates: New County Economic Development director will be having an informational meeting on February 24, 2026 at 8:30 PM. ATV/UTV ordinance for the Village of Merrillan approved. Dan shared update on new truck-monitor needs to be replaced.
- Jeffrey Road project-Plans are to grind, put down geo-grid, 6” of select crush, 6 inches of gravel, 3 ½ inches of hot mix with new culverts installed. Pre-bid conference on March 11, 2026 at 10 AM with bids turned in for opening at our March 18, 2026 meeting.
- Board reviewed the updated Junk ordinance prepared by Attorney Mark Radcliffe. Motion by Gearing, second by Murray to approve updated ordinance 2004-02 for regulation of junk and unlicensed vehicles. Motion carried.
- Motion by Murray, second by Gearing to have Attorney Radcliffe send certified letters to the parties identified in violation of the ordinance. Motion carried.
Next meeting scheduled for March 18, 2026.
